OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: None in particular for myself, but generally I will try to avoid common triggers in threads without prior discussion. If you have any topics you'd like me to avoid, please don't hesitate to pm me and let me know!

IC PERMISSIONS

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Vash is cool with things like light touches, hair ruffling, shoulder pats, hugs and the like. He even craves it! Any further than that might make him go "wait, huh?" for a second but if he knows your character, he'll be fine.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Vash does not like to hurt other people, but he takes punishment maybe a little too easily. Which is to say, any amount of violence is fair game⁠—but he will fight back if he has someone to protect, and probably run away if he doesn't.

RELATIONSHIPS: He would really like to stick around long enough to be your friend, or perhaps more, before something bad happens and he has to leave behind everyone he knows and loves again. Which is to say: please.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Vash is Not Human, which means he can tolerate a lot of things (bullet wounds, poisons, hunger and thirst, asphyxiation) that would kill most people. This doesn't mean he's invulnerable, but it does mean his threshold for pain and injury before he becomes incapacitated is much, much higher than the average person's. This also means his body is a tapestry of gnarly scars and hasty patch-jobs that look like they're barely holding together—missing arm, exposed muscle, old staples, et cetera (reference link). While Vash's prosthetic arm is plainly visible, your character will not know about or see any of the rest of this unless they manage to get his clothes off.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Vash is himself a collection of traumas packaged up in a smile, and his canon includes themes like human experimentation (including on children), mass murder/genocide, light gore, child death/injury, and loss of bodily autonomy with some very uncomfortable imagery attached. If any of this is a problem for you, please let me know and I can avoid bringing it up in threads.

GENERAL CR

CASTMATES: Any and all castmates from Stampede are welcome! I'm also happy to play with characters from the '98 anime and Trigun: Maximum, though please note that my knowledge of both of these iterations of the canon comes from osmosis so I probably don't know all the details!

CROSSCANON: I'm open to crosscanon cr and love coming up with AUs to fit my character into your world! Some canons I'm familiar with and would adore CR with include Dragon Age (!!!), Final Fantasy 15, Final Fantasy 14, Fire Emblem: Three Houses/Hopes, Genshin Impact, or The Dragon Prince. Canons I'm not all up in but still think would make for cool CR include Star Wars, Firefly, Dune, or Guardians of the Galaxy.

SHIPPING PREFS

THE GOOD

✔ M/M, M/F, whatever floats your boat. If the food is good I'm not picky.

✔ Vashwood. I am in Vashwood hell. Give me every version of Vashwood and I will put it directly in my mouth.

✔ Most other castmates, including castmates from other versions of the canon like '98 or Maximum. Knives is the exception; please keep reading for additional info.

✔ Crosscanon ships are cool and rad and I'll try anything once. This doesn't mean it will always work for me, but it's nothing personal! Sometimes the vibes just aren't there.

✔ Characters who challenge Vash, or serve as some kind of narrative foil to his peace-loving, self-destructive ways. Bring me your trained killers with hearts of gold, your grizzled mercs who see violence as a necessary means to an end, et cetera. I love that shit and I want him to be confronted with his own messiness!!!

✔ I really, truly do not play around top/bottom dynamics, but for the convenience of the shorthand, I play Vash as a switch and prefer characters who are similar.

✔ This is not an exhaustive list!! Again, I'll try anything once, and maybe you have a cool ship idea I just haven't thought of yet!

THE BAD

✘ Not interested in shipping with very childlike, innocent, or immature characters. This is not a dynamic that's fun for me to play around in ships and can be actively squicky.

✘ Similarly, very young characters. It'd be dumb of me to put a hard number on ages considering *waves hands vaguely* all the shit in my own canon, but again, see above note about childlike characters.

THE UGLY (?)

? What about Plantcest? This is something where I'd like the chance to play with and get to know the other player for a bit before I consider touching this ship. I'm open to exploring their tragic and fucked up dynamic deeper, but there is a 0% chance of me playing this out as something genuinely fluffy and romantic, so I want to make sure we're on the same page about it first!

Miscellany

- In the OG Trigun manga, whenever Vash communes with another Plant, it stops his vitals for the duration of the experience. I go with this as an explanation for why Vash passes out after stopping the steamer in Stampede.

- There's no S2 yet and nobody can stop me so I tend to headcanon that Vash has radiation scars from activating his angel arm (Plants in Trimax are highly radioactive). After 2 years they've likely healed into patches of mottled and irregularly textured skin that run the length of his right arm, but they're still not fun to look at.
